Sarah Cole Camerer, M.Ed., LMHC holds a B.A. in Psychology from
Boston University and her M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from
The University of Massachusetts at Boston.  Ms. Camerer also
attended Boston University School of Medicine and completed the
Mini-Med School Program. She is Licensed by the Massachusetts
Division of Professional Licensure in Allied Mental Health.  

Ms. Camerer began her professional career in Clinical Psycho-Therapy and has since worked with numerous populations in the community.  She worked as a Clinician/Employment Training Specialist with adults suffering from severe mental, physical and developmental illnesses. Her work included supportive therapy, organizing and leading therapeutic groups and assisting with job placement.  Ms.Camerer then worked as an Outreach Worker in the Roxbury, MA area, providing community based support for those in need of Mental Health Services.  In 2003, she became a Clinical Case Manager at the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans.  There, she worked with homeless veterans providing supportive therapy, crisis intervention, and referrals for housing, job placement and psychiatric out-patient care.  She then joined the Clinical Case Management team at a private, inpatient psychiatric hospital, where she did intensive work
with adolescents, specializing in behavioral interventions such as
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy.

Ms. Camerer  is a member of the Massachusetts Mental Health
Counselors Association, a professional member of the American
Counseling Association,a clinical member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association and a board certified member of the American Psychotherapy Association.  The combination of her education and experience gives her the unique ability to analyze mental health status and to utilize and implement various therapeutic techniques.  This allows Ms. Camerer to work with you to develop a tailor-made therapeutic treatment plan that is appropriate and comfortable for any individual.
